U.S.-Iran Conflict Intensifies With Sixth Night of Direct Infrastructure Strikes

The conflict between the United States and Iran has reached a critical juncture following a sixth consecutive night of direct military engagements. Under the direction of President Donald Trump, U.S. forces have shifted their targeting strategy from military installations to critical civilian and logistics infrastructure. Strikes were reported near Tehran, Semnan, and Bandar Khamir, hit a train station and several bridges. This shift aims to degrade Iran’s ability to move military assets and exert economic pressure, though it has resulted in at least seven civilian casualties. In response, Iran has resumed its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and launched significant retaliatory strikes against U.S.-aligned regional hubs. At sea, U.S. Marines have increased enforcement of a "steel wall" strategy, boarding a vessel in the Gulf of Oman and redirecting ships attempting to breach the naval blockade. Despite the escalating violence, a potential diplomatic signal emerged with Iran’s release of a detained U.S. citizen on Thursday. While international observers from China and Pakistan have called for an immediate resumption of talks to prevent a full-scale regional war, the Iranian military leadership has warned of continued strikes against regional infrastructure if U.S. operations do not cease.
