U.S.-Iran Tensions Escalate with Maritime Interceptions and New Sanctions

The conflict between the United States and Iran intensified over the last 24 hours through a series of military engagements and economic maneuvers. U.S. forces conducted strikes against Iranian coastal radar sites following the downing of several drones assessed as threats near the Strait of Hormuz.
