Entering the 30th day of active conflict, President Donald Trump has announced a 10-day diplomatic window by pausing airstrikes on Iran's energy infrastructure until April 6. The move follows mediation efforts in Islamabad involving Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Despite this pause, military activity intensified elsewhere as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have downed a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone and launched missile barrages targeting U.S. facilities in Erbil, Iraq, as well as sites in the UAE and Bahrain. Diplomatic tensions remain high as Iran dismissed the 10-day pause as a "deception," and Gulf allies expressed urgent concern over Iran’s continued blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
