Iran Conflict Intensifies With Domestic Executions and Pressure on Gulf Energy Targets

The conflict between the United States and Iran has reached a critical juncture with U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard testifying that Iran's conventional military capabilities have been largely neutralized. Despite the decimation of its military and the loss of 16 top leaders—including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior IRGC commanders—the Iranian regime has escalated domestic repression. The humanitarian situation inside Iran continues to deteriorate significantly. Operations involving U.S. and Israeli forces have resulted in an estimated 1,500 civilian deaths and the displacement of more than three million people. While DNI Gabbard maintains there is no evidence of nuclear rebuilding efforts, the Trump administration remains divided on the theater's future, with the President suggesting the conflict is "very complete" while also considering periodic future strikes to ensure the regime remains weakened.
